Sunrise walk for hospice was organised by Totara Hospice South Auckland, whom invited BLIA to take part in this meaningful walk, for its 3rd year. The spokesperson, Karen Galvan hope that this walk will be diversified with different cultures and increase its awareness.

On this wonderful morning, 6:30am; Venerable Manwang led 10 members of BLIA to Botanic Gardens in Totara Park, they chant a heart Sutra before the walk began. There were approximately 1000 people taken part; the walk was begun with a warm up exercise with a fast beat music.

It was a 5km bush walk and it started at 7:10am, with a mist of rain in the air. This walk is a challenge to endurance and stamina. The participants cheered for each other, upon the finish line, it is a very good start for a morning.
