31st March – Uxbridge Sculpture Symposium

The Art festival out East, was a Art Festival held in the eastern suburbs from 17th March to 5 April As part of this festival, the "Uxbridge Sculpture Symposium" was held in Barry Curtis park from 31st March to 5 April . This was sponsored by Howick local community, planned and organised by the Uxbridge Creative Centre.

This sculpture exhibition had attracted 15 sculptors from Wellington and Auckland to take part. Venerable JueHao and Venerable JueGuang led few BLIA members to visit and support this exhibition.

This group of sculptors were at Barry Curtis Park on 29th March to setup their artworks. There were stone, wood,Oamaru limestone, and other natural materials for these artworks.

The first price was $2000 cash, and the winner was announced on 1st April.
