Vajracchedika Repentance Dharma Function
On 30th March evening 6:30 Fo Guang Shan South Island New Zealand held Ching Ming dharma function to transfer merits to ancestors. With Abbess Man Shin holding the Vajracchedika Repentance for transferring merits to the ancestors approximately 60 participants came of the important event. After the dharma function Abbess mentioned to everyone that participated the function the importance of repentance and shared experience and thoughts of the 6th Asia Pacific Interfaith Meeting that was held in Indonesia two weeks ago. Abbess also praised BLIA members that helped in the earthquake relief center for last year’s earthquake in Christchurch on 22 February because the event affected the local community really well. Abbess also applauded, those who came to the dharma function for transferring merits to their ancestors, that the participants had gratitude for their ancestors. By participating this dharma function will transfer merits to ancestors and allow them to move on to a better realm. Abbess encouraged everyone that participated on the day, to often come back to the temple and allow them to understand Buddhism and gain wisdom.
