Auckland Indian Association Mahila Samaj Temple visit
On the afternoon of 29 June, Auckland Indian Association Mahila Samaj co-ordinator, Ms Bhanu Patel, gathered around fifty members and their families to visit Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple. The members are a group of business women, who meet together once a month.
Venerable Juehuan gave them a warm welcome and looked after the group. The Venerable gave a brief introduction to Humanistic Buddhism and the symbolism within the Main and Front Shrines, after which they toured the Art Gallery. The visiting Auckland Indian Association members said they had heard that the Temple is one of Auckland’s landmarks and also very magnificent. The visitors later expressed their wonder and joy of discovering Fo Guang Shan’s Four Mottos and made positive comments about their experience of visiting the Temple.
Indeed, the beauty and magnificence of the Temple is difficult to describe adequately in words, and is perhaps better realised by members and visitors, by experiencing it directly for themselves.
