FGS NZ Represent Buddhism in 6th Interfaith Dialogue

New Zealand Minister of Ethnic Affair invited Fo Guang Shan (FGS) New Zealand Venerable Abbess Manshin and other nine religion’s representative represented New Zealand to participate The 6th Asia-Pacific Regional Interfaith Dialogue in Indonesia. The Interfaith dialogue will begin on 11th March till 15th March which held in Central Java Governor’s Hall for 5 days, the theme “Strengthening collaborative communities, promote regional peace and security, interfaith in action”. This theme has 2 main points to discuss: 1. How to establish a harmonious society – improve the interactive of multiple religions, promote the peace of society and reduce the opposition. 2. Discuss from the education point which encourage peace and security – by training the religion leaders, opening religion and culture topic within universities and societies.

In this interfaith dialogue, the organiser invited the religion leaders and Ministers from 13 countries in Asia Pacific Region included New Zealand, Indonesia, Philippine, Australia and etc, It will light up the peace awareness and wisdom sharing of religion. According to New Zealand Minister Ethnic Affair stated that Buddha Light International Association (BLIA) members has serve and contribution to local society, the positive Humanistic Buddhism which the reasons to represented the local Buddhism.

FGS New Zealand Venerable Abbess Manshin will depart in next few days to participate the meeting; once again it will promote the idea of Humanistic Buddhism in this regional interfaith dialogue, it will let more people to understand the capacious and profound idea of Humanistic Buddhism. BLIA Youth Adult Division member was represented New Zealand Buddhism on the last interfaith dialogue was held in Perth, Australia on 2009, once again been invited in this year, which affirmed the Fo Guang Shan’ s Humanistic Buddhism which localise in society and become the best representative of Buddhism.
