Auckland Unitec had a meeting in FGS - 10 February
A team of 17 from Auckland's Unitec, from the Department of Landscape Architecture led by Sandra Potier, hired a room to meet in for a day. They decided to choose FGS as the venue because its tranquil and quiet environment would help their brainstorming session for the upcoming activities and goals.
After a lovely vegetarian breakfast in the Water Drop tea house; the group decided to have their meeting held in the courtyard under the cherry blossom trees, embracing the essence of nature.
The monastery arranged for a temple tour for the guests after their lunch, and this was led by Venerable MiaoYu. This was followed by Uncle Bang, an orator, who explained the idea of each Zen painting and calligraphy to the group. Zen is the way of life and is associated closely with our daily life.
The group was very pleased with this meeting in a beautiful and tranquil environment, and will definitely visit in the future.
