Final Spring Cleaning for Chinese New Year 21 January

On the 21st of January, many volunteers were gathered to help in the final spring cleaning at the temple for the coming Year of the Dragon on 23rd January. After having dinner, the volunteers were divided into groups; led by Abbess, Ven. Man Wang and other Venerables, they were allocated to different parts of the temple to clean the floors.

We also had a group of newly joined volunteer-warriors; Thai people led by Nong. He owns a restaurant, and has organised his friends within the Thai community to assist.

Although feeling tired after a lot of manual labour, all Venerables and volunteers were pleased with the tidiness and cleanliness of the temple. Some felt it was a great fortune to be able to assist, rather than receive the help.
