Joy Visiting Southern Hemisphere
An Advisor from the Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) of Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Nan Fang Temple in Klang Malaysia visited FGS South Island NZ and was being warmly welcomed by Venerable Miaoyu on December 8. The Advisor, Dato’ Ang Thye Chin and family with the cause and condition in visiting New Zealand have stepped foot in both FGS temples in the country. Dato’ Ang and family visited FGS North Island a week before South Island. Here in FGS South Island, Venerable Miaoyu brought them to prostrate and offer incense to Buddha. The venerable also explained about the design and architecture of the building to the family. Dato Ang expressed he felt joyful to have visited both FGS in the most southern part of the world. They then enjoyed a scrumptious vegetarian meal at the Water Drop Cafe.
On this same day, BLIA members from the FGS Taipei Vihara temple of Taiwan also came visiting FGS South Island with a heart of joy and was moved by the service given from members in South Island in preserving and rebuilding Christchurch. Venerable explained activities being done while bringing the group up to the Buddha Hall to prostrate to Buddha. The group was grateful of the hospitality given to them and expressed this trip is a rich and significant one. Venerable Miaoyu then presented them the “Fo Guang Shan 2012 Calander”, the “2011 BLIA NZ Activities Report” and “Way of Life” with joy.
