Spiritual Talk from NZ Abbess to YAD Afar

01 / 04

After the visit to FGS South Island on November 20, two Buddha’s Light Young Adult Division (YAD) member from faraway Malaysia, Wei-Lun Fang and Wan-Zhen Lei continued in helping Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island on December 4. This has given them an opportunity to meet with FGS NZ’s Abbess, Venerable Abbess Manshin. Wei-Lun expressed that he would like to broaden his horizons in travelling the world and that is why he has applied for a holiday working visa to New Zealand right after his studies. Volunteering their selves in FGS South Island makes Christchurch their first stop, and they will be continuing to Nelson in picking apples. These few weeks in New Zealand has given him an opportunity to grow. Venerable Abbess Manshin has then discussed about the journey of Humanistic Buddhism in life and the teachings of Venerable Master Hsing Yun. The Abbess then encouraged Wei-Lun and Wan-Zhen to visit the temple more and contribute to the society, furthermore, they are more than welcome to visit the FGS North Island situated in Auckland.
