House Purification for Advisor Lai

On October 29, Fo Guang Shan (FGS) New Zealand ‘s Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Rulian, Venerable Miaoyu together with Buddhas’ Light International Association (BLIA) South Island upcoming president See-Shen Lee, upcoming vice-president Gina Chen and 10 members visited the house of BLIA South Island advisor, John Lai for a house purification of his new home. Venerable Abbess Manshin brought the “Universal Gate Sutra” for this house purification with blessings.

As visiting this new home, the Abbess shared the experience while visiting FGS Headquarters Taiwan New Buddha Memorial Hall in August. Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Fo Guang Shan Buddhist order, explained the concept and design of the Buddha Memorial Hall especially for his monastic disciples that practices in the overseas. The vast and magnificent Buddha Memorial Hall was explained thoroughly and Venerable Abbess Manshin encouraged everyone to have a visit and blessing there.

The Abbess also advised everyone to closely link their selves to a religion to live life to the right direction; start in practicing the chanting of sutra and practice as many times as possible which is worthy. Advisor Lai and his family was then presented the special calligraphy of “Skillful Wisdom Enlightened Mind” wishing them a comfortable joy in the practice of the way to Buddhahood.
