Four Noble Truths with Basic Meditation
On October 16, the English Basic Buddhism and Basic Meditation class of Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island was conducted by Ding Lihson and Feifei Lei with 20 students participated. With a starting which was not the same with previous classes, the students learned stretching of the body instead of walking meditation before the sitting meditation. Following in the Basic Buddhism class, the explanation of the first Dharma of Buddha, the Four Noble Truths were explained. The Four Noble Truths are, The Noble Truth of Suffering (All Beings Suffer), The Noble Truth of the Origin of Suffering (Why Does All Being Suffer), The Noble Truth of the Ceasing the Suffering (There is Problem Solving), The Noble Truth of the Path Leading the Ceasing of Suffering (The Path to Problem Solving). It is also to make understand that all human beings are not perfect and neither is the world that we are living in. The students also asked questions to understand more about the Four Noble Truths. The students then expressed that they will be back for the next class that brought them tranquillity and giving their daily life a healthier energy.
