The Continuation of Compassion of the Buddha
The Sunday Buddhist College of the Spring Season continued on October 9 with over 20 students attended. Reverend Juexi continued in sharing stories of the Buddha as its artwork is at the Bodhi Square of the Buddha Memorial Centre. It is called the “Compassion of the Buddha” and today’s stories are “Buddha’s Effort to Stop the War”, “Practice is Like Tuning Strings”, “Rahula’s lesson”, “Teaching Ksudrapanthaka”, “Helping Aniruddha to sew the triple robes” and “Lady Yi Ye’ s lesson”. All stories are inspired with the role of the characters. The reverend also taught that there are seven things that couldn’t be changed which are birth, aging, sickness, death, karma, merits and, cause and conditions; the reverend also shared the Four Fruits of Buddhism which are the Srota-apanna, Sakrdagamin, Anagamin and Arhat letting students gain more about Buddhism.
