North-Subchapter plans to Share with a New Way
The Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) South Island North Subchapter will be holding a live seminar of “Humanistic Buddhism and Life” on October 16; with that, a meeting has been called up by North-Subchapter President, Christine Wang on September 18. The meeting was attended by Temple Supervisor, Venerable Juexi, upcoming BLIA South Island President, See-Shen Lee, upcoming BLIA South Island Vice-President Ding Lihson, West-Subchapter President, Susan Wu, Director, Louisa Kuo and members from the BLIA South Island.
Topics, candidates, lectures and way to share the seminar were discussed in the meeting. Venerable Juexi has then offered a clearer direction and concepts for everyone. The venerable shared; the purpose of the seminar should be inseparable from the Dharma, go hand-in-hand with Humanistic Buddhism, gives an interaction with life and could not fall into the secular theory of gossip and stereotypes. To make this seminar lively, a new way of sharing should be used instead of the lecturing seminars before. This will be a new attempt and everyone is excited in trying.
The meeting concluded where Louisa, Susan, Christine and upcoming BLIA South Island Vice President, Gina Chen will be sharing about Humanistic Buddhism and life, and Ding will be the MC of the day. More details will be discussed on the next meeting.
