01 / 08

On September 11, the second class of the FGS South Island English Basic Buddhism and Basic Meditation class started with 18 students participated. Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) members, Feifei Lei and Ding Lihson shared their wisdom with the class attentively. Feifei shared on how should postures of sitting meditation should be, for example the back should be straight, shoulder should be relaxed, chin should be slightly tucked in and also some tips to practice meditation at home.

Following the class, Ding continued in the first teaching of Buddha. He also linked the Dharma into the everyday use of life where the “3 Higher Learning” of Wisdom, Conduct and Concentration should always be used. The class also understood that people would suffer from the “3 Poisons”. After the discussion, the class had more understanding of how Buddhism should be applied in not just meditation, but also everyday life.
