Taiwan University Admiring FGS Art and Architecture

Volunteering reporter Jerry Chen from HungKuang University which is also the HungKuang TV channel in Taiwan visited Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island with a warm welcome from Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Christchurch Art Gallery Artistic Coordinator, See-Shen Lee on August 26.

Jerry Chen, a reporter who is more familiar in reporting environmental personals and related subjects, interviewed YiMing Lin in Taiwan beforehand; the artist in one of the current exhibition at the FGY Christchurch Art Gallery, “The Passion of Clay”. With that, Jerry came from far away Taiwan to visit YiMing’s artwork. Besides that, in appreciating FGY Art Gallery Christchurch propagates Dharma thru art, Shan-Shan Kuo also visited with the lead of YiMing’s friend, Andrew.

Jerry also admired the art of “One Stroke Calligraphy” from Venerable Master Hsing Yun and the dignified architecture of the building, giving him a welcoming feeling. The feeling of tranquillity gave Jerry and his company great profound and auspicious impression.
