Keep New Zealand Beautiful week

In conjunction with “Keep New Zealand Beautiful” week, 14 members of the Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) South Island, including Vice President Mei-Hua Chen, Directors Yen-Yin Chen and Louisa Kuo together with Venerable Ru Lian, cleaned and beautified the path from Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island to Hagley Park starting at 10.30 am on August 20. Gloves and rubbish bags were provided to everyone with the team started in groups of three. Venerable Ru Lian and the BLIA members with the heart of “Spiritual and Environmental Preservation” had written a beautiful and clean memory for not just BLIA members but also Christchurch, in the one hour plus fun awareness raising activity.
