2011 BLIA Oceania Secretariat Meeting

In order of the Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) Oceania Seminar and Meeting in Nan Tien Temple, Sydney, the “2011 BLIA Oceania Secretariat Meeting” came in conjunction in the afternoon of July 10 where 160 members of venerables, presidents, directors and other members were presided by Venerable Tzu-Jung.
In the meeting, besides discussions of matters arising and future plans, Venerable Tzu-Jung also advised everyone to coordinate with various global associations in going into a direction of charities for disaster reliefs. The venerable advised to bring more youths into the group and not to drain out talents. Venerable Tzu-Jung has then inspired everyone in the once of a lifetime opportunity of the Buddha Memorial Hall opening ceremony at the FGS Headquarters in Kaoshiong, Taiwan with the arrival of the Tooth Relic happening in December.
In the agenda of “Sharing of the Buddha’s Light members”, presided by Deputy Secretary General of BLIA Oceania, Venerable Yilai, BLIA North Island NZ President, Dolly Tsai, International General Director of BLIA, David Yang and lecturer Qiuqin Chen and respectively shared “Buddha’s Light Association and Me”, “The Believes of Humanistic Buddhism”, “Inheritance of Belief” and “The Lecturer that Succeeded Her”. The sharing brought merits, wisdoms and made them a spot in history. It has also brought out the idea of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s teachings and Dharma.
Venerable Yilai expressed that all activities needs to have “the altruism” manner for the well beings of others. With that, the 2011 BLIA Oceania Secretariat Meeting concludes with a group photo together with the Young Adult Division members.
