Joyful meeting for joyful programs from the heart
3rd May, 6pm is the date where Temple Supervisor Venerable Juexi, Venerable Miaoyu and 10 BLIA South Island members had a meeting. All that attended were discussing on important programs as follow:
1. Arrangements and related matters concerning Mothers Day Celebration, especially on the 8th of May.
2. Trip to Dunedin for Vesak Day on the 17th of May where the invitation includes (Buddhist Light International Association) BLIA NZ’s Venerable Abbess Manshin.
3. The Emperor Liang Repentance that will be ongoing from 28th May until 6th June in North Island and the purification of the newly built Lotus Pond Tower.
4. Meeting of both BLIA North and South Island New Zealand unite and to invite Venerable Abbess Manshin for teaching in classes.
Venerable Juexi has then advised everyone to take this opportunity and take part in these joyful programs if circumstances allow, with a joyful and supporting heart.
Invitation to the United Nation Day of Vesak
The Dhammachai International Research Institute from Dunedin will be holding an Oceania Observances of the United Nation Day of Vesak on May 17, 2011. An invitation has been sent to invite BLIA New Zealand’s Venerable Abbess Manshin and the members of BLIA to attend the grand meeting on behalf of Buddhism. The invitation has been received since May and Venerable Abbess Manshin was also invited to present a speech or prayer from Venerable Master into blessing for the society. Around 10 BLIA members will attend to this meeting to represent and plant more development of Buddhism with cultural exchange in other places.
