All members preparing for Mother’s Day Special
Mother’s Day is just around the corner and to thank all mothers for their unconditional love and caring, Buddhist Light International Association (BLIA) Young Adult Division (YAD) members held a meeting on 30th April in preparing a gift for mothers around and the guests that will be visiting in the Mother’s Day celebration on 6th June. The YAD President Hao-Tin Lin has led 8 members in the meeting and decided to have hand gestures and dance performances. Just after the decision has been made, the YAD members immediately got ready for practice with just music from a laptop and choreographed the brilliant program.
BLIA South Island’s director Louisa Kuo, Yan-Ying Chen and other members has also prepared a series of splendid performances such as the line dance to share the attainment of a mother and child for the celebration of Mother’s Day. At 6pm on the same day, the director and members started to practice line dance under the guidance of Li-Ping Chen. They have all put great effort in the practice hoping to bring joy and surprise to the guests on Mother’s Day.
Water Drop Cafe to bring better service
On 30th April, 8 staffs and Venerable Miaoyu of the BLIA Water Drop Teahouse had a meeting held by the cafe manager Hao-Tin Lin. In the meeting, they have introduced the new member Meng-Chu Liu, discussed about how to give better services in the cafe and also new meals to be brought into the cafe. Besides that, there are also a lot of ideas proposed in standardizing the rules for the staffs in Water Drop Cafe. Venerable Miaoyu then encouraged everyone in keeping up on the great job and try to bring joy to everyone. The meeting ended with a grateful thanks to Venerable Miaoyu for giving such great encouragement.
