A grateful thank you letter

On April 24, Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island received a thank you letter from the Buddhist Light International Association (BLIA) English Sub-chapter member, Peter Stuart. He thanked the venerables and all FGS members that visited him earlier in the hospital after he was in a operation on his hip. Peter, a bright and open-minded senior is a member of this Buddhist Association since year 2009. He is a frequent comer of all Dharma functions, Sunday Buddhist College and a great volunteer at the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery, always leaving an impression and making sure everyone that came into the art gallery had a great visit. He accidentally slipped and fell earlier this year causing him to receive treatments from the hospital. Venerable Juexi, Venerable Miaoyu and members of the FGS has then touched his heart when they visited him, hoping that he will get well soon.

In the letter, Peter had expressed: “When I awoke, to see all your happy smiling faces I was very touched and I know I will never forget the vision of you all around my bed. It was very beautiful to see and I thought I was in dreamland. The flowers were so lovely… I miss coming to the Temple so much and I miss seeing you all too. In a few weeks time I am sure I will be back again…”

Everyone at the temple had also wished him a speedy recovery and can’t wait for him to come back to continue servicing the community.
