YAD Wedding Ceremony blessed by Abbess
Yahan Zhang is a Buddhist Light International Association (BLIA) Young Adult Division (YAD) South Island ex-member, who does research and classes of Dunhuang dance in England. She performed at both Fo Guang Shan (FGS) North Island and South Island NZ Temple on Buddha’s Birthday which left great impressions. On the 25th of March, Yahan and Jianhua Du had a wedding ceremony in Christchurch, where coincidently, it is the first day where FGS South Island held the Emperor Liang Repentance dharma function for the first time. To be closer to Buddha, they have come to FGS Buddhist Temple for their ceremony starting at 11am. They have also invited Venerable Abbess Manshin for blessings, their parents, families, relatives, friends and other FGS members which sums up to around 40 guests. Abbess had brought the popular “Heart Sutra” for the blessings of the newlyweds.
After enjoying vegetarian meals provided in the Dining Hall, the newlyweds thanked Venerable Abbess Manshin, other Venerables, FGS members and their friends for their blessings; making it possible for them to conclude the ceremony in this dignified FGS South Island and plant a happy marriage affinity.
