Different Light Theatre Company uses FGS South Island

With the lead of Tony McCaffrey, 12 students from the class of Different Light Theatre Company arrived at Fo Guang Shan South Island for a rehearsal on the 13th of March. The Company was established in year 2005 to work on mixed ability performances. The company has had many plays such as Frankenstein’s Children and The Wizard of Oz in both Australia and New Zealand.

At the beginning of 2011, this class has been invited for a play in San Jose, America in June, 2011. The class normally has Christchurch’s Technical Institute for their rehearsals, but the Institute has been restricted after the earthquake and Director Tony McCaffrey decided to have Fo Guang Shan South Island as a new rehearsal venue until they have a more suitable place to use on.

All 12 students love Fo Guang Shan South Island as the green grass and tranquility made everyone feel peaceful and relieved.
