Parting with 340 Australian Police Officers
On the 9th of March, with the invitation and lead of Sergeant Rakesh Naidoo, a group of 6 including Abbess Manshin thanked 340 supporting Australian police officers that are returning to Australia from Christchurch. Maori Senior, Reverend Maurice and New Zealand’s high ranked officers were also at the event, not to forget, famous international rugby players, Hosea Gear and Rico Gear also attended the thankful event.
Canterbury District Commander, Superintendant Dave Cliff thanked the Australian police force in a speech and expressed that New Zealand would always be home to them. Reverend Maurice has also made a blessing to the Australian police force in Maori language and presented them a greenstone. Venerable Abbess Manshin has shaken every Australian police officers hand with gratitude.
As BLIA members brought tranquility and peace, it is also realized that after the earthquake, the world is still filled with warmth and hope.
