Mother and son has blessings and light offering

On 4th of March, Venerable Abbes Manshin and Venerable Juexi lead the wife of the Leader for Foreign Affair Team in Christchurch Earthquake, Mrs. Chansuda Gibson together with her children Harry and Dean, and 8 other friends blessed for those who lost their lives on the 222 Earthquake by light offering and gives sutra prayers in Pali language to the deceased on this disaster at BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre.

Mrs. Chansuda from Thailand had lived in earthquake region countries like Japan and Indonesia. She migrated to Christchurch in the last 6 months and has experienced the 222 earthquake unexpectedly. After the earthquake, their living place has become a temporary office for 25 of the Foreign Affairs team members to manage the disaster.

Mrs. Chansuda said that she was supposed to have a coffee break with her partner at Christchurch City Center on 22nd of February, but they detoured to Fo Guang Shan Tea House. Unexpectedly, they met the 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Fo Guang Shan Tea House. She thanked Buddha for the blessings as she and her family is safe. This has strengthen her Buddhism believes.

Her son, Dean, who is only 12 years old, then vowed to help and support the BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre, hoping to give out hot food with a good and strong heart with his new friends at the BLIA NZ South Island.
