In 8 continous days, the BLIA NZ Relief Centre has provided more than 2,500 hot meals, water and medical aid for the needy. Many were also informed that the Emperor Liang Repentance Dharma Service will be held at the end of this month to transfer merits, to relief those who have passed on as a result of the recent Christchurch earthquake and to provide spiritual support to all those who experienced it.

Venerable Abbess Manshin also explained the Buddhism view on life and death; the charateristics in between life transition; the benefit and importance of transferring merits for the deceased, helping them to relief from shock from the earthquake disaster and guiding them to reborn in virtuous realms.
