Foreign Minister of China visits BLIA NZ

On 2nd of March, the Director of New Zealand Economic Development Department of China, Mr. Chu Kefeng and Foreign Minister of China, Ms. Zhao Lei visited Venerable Abbess Manshin and Fo Guang Shan members at BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre. They have also wished to help and talk to the family members of the victims. The Foreign Minister of China assigned an immediate translator from Melbourne, Australia, to help in communicating with family members of the victims. Oceania Deputy Secretary-Venerable Yilai, Venerable Abbes Manshin, Venerable Juexi and BLIA members lead the family members of the victims to the Buddha Hall for light offering and blessings.

Mr. Chu Kefeng and Ms. Zhao Lei expressed that the 222 earthquake have seriously destroyed Christchurch and it caused a lot of difficulty. The feelings of family members that come far away from China could be felt. They acclaimed BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre in providing free hot food and medical aid to the public in the soonest time; and provided a tranquil area to rebuild a strong energy into people’s heart to face their future.
