FGS NZ South Island Buddhist Temple recommended
Australian immigrants, Mr and Mrs Yang Zirong came to Fo Guang Shan NZ South Island to establish a plaque for their grandmother which passed away. Mr and Mrs Yang Zirong heard about Fo Guang Shan South Island Buddhist Temple when an understanding of a rescue program was being held on the 24th of February. They have heard recommendations from New Zealand Police Superintendent Wallace Haumaha about the Buddhist temple with the services the Buddhist temple provide and also introduced them to Venerable Abbess Manshin. Therefore, once Mr and Mrs Yang were informed when their grandmother Madam Liu Huifang passed away, they visited the Buddhist temple right away to establish a plaque for her.
Madam Liu, a strong Buddhist believer, unfortunately passed away on the afternoon of the earthquake, will have her remains being sent back to Australia. Mr and Mrs Yang are grateful that there is a Buddhist temple and the services given to them, enabling them to say their prayers, wishes and being filial to their grandma.
