Stretching out to reach the communities

01 / 05

BLIA NZ Relief Centre continued its mission to provide earthquake relief services to reach out communities; it has also provided transportation and internet access to the local and overseas media like CTI and WTV allowing the audiences to get the latest updates of the earthquake reports. On 27th and 28th February, a temporary work station was set up for the NZ Police force to facilitate their earthquake relief mission.

The National Strategic Ethnic Advisor from the NZ Police force together with 4 other overseas police officers worked hand in hand in the temporary work station and BLIA volunteers assisted them in poster printing and translation of information. The Police officers expressed their gratitude to BLIA NZ members for their assistance to facilitate the work process, enabling the overseas victims’ family members to get sufficient translated information.

As the Patron of Police Wing 261, Venerable Abbess Manshin would be more than happy to render help to assist in every way, especially in this disaster period.
