01 / 10

During this disaster period, a Taiwanese travel agency has arranged two tours as 11 and 22 people visited and had a meal in the BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre, on the 27th and the 28th of February respectively. Lead by the president of the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Oceania, Mr. Wu Changlin, the group appreciated the food and service provided by the BLIA NZ members and the tourists have taken this opportunity to make donations to support the disaster relief.

After meal, Venerable Abbess Manshin guided the tour for light offering and blessings. Police officer Sergeant Rakesh Naidoo was also in the centre. He is very grateful and thanked the tourists that came from afar for concerning and make blessings for New Zealand. Rakesh also expressed that, even though New Zealand has a major disaster now, he is grateful to see so many kind and beautiful people. He again thanked the members of BLIA NZ for providing help and support in full effort. Good relationships between the New Zealand Police and the BLIA NZ have become fruitful.

During the relief of this disaster in New Zealand, Taiwan rescue team member, Mr Ni Yongkang has also reported in. He reports that he is now in area number 67 searching in the buildings and will still continue searching without giving up on any possible hope.

Venerable Abbess Manshin felt grateful as international teams provide specialised rescue technology. While the BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre provides a tranquillity to help people reorganize themselves, Abbess also acclaims the New Zealand media in not reporting the pathos and manifests of the country is something worth learning.
