Clown Drs & Korean Rescue Team recharge
New Zealand Red Noses Clown Doctor International member Dr. Thomas Petschner aka Dr. Exami Nation had pay visit to BLIA Earthquake Relief Centre on 27th February with Crew from Christchurch’s famous chocolate shop “She” also followed the clown doctor that day. They had heard the BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre servicing the public. With that, the clown doctor brought some tasty chocolate to offer their care and appreciation for the volunteers and others as well. They were most welcomed by Venerable Abbess Manshin and BLIA NZ members.
The Red Noses Clown Doctors International is founded in Austria in 2003. In New Zealand Christchurch, it was was founded in 2009 where Dr. Thomas Petschner organized. The objectives are maintaining high standard of moral value in medical doctors and give patients joy and happiness. Dr. Thomas Petschner is one of the friends of BLIA members; he had been invited to the Buddhist temple before to give a medical talk. After spreading their joy to the people in the relief center, they sat down, rested for a while and had a meal that was prepared; they then got ready for the next stop.
Sergeant Rakesh Nandoo and 7 members of Royal New Zealand Police had visited the BLIA relief center on 27th February to have some meal and rest. At this time, there are a lot of heavy work load in rescue efforts for them on this earthquake, the police officers expressed that to enjoy this peaceful moment in this centre were luxurious for them.
New Zealand Korean Society advisor Ms. Helena Lee had brought 8 Korean rescue members to the BLIA NZ Relief Centre to have some hot food. Ms. Helena Lee mentioned that the rescue team members had just arrived in Christchurch and they will meet with the Korean representative later. They expressed their appreciation to BLIA members for providing precious food and drinks, which provided them energy and mental recovery.
On 27th February, a total of 300 plus people in Christchurch had come to the BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre to rejuvenate and recharge their body and mind with strong dependence.
