BLIA NZ Relief Centre's light offering
On the 27th of February, BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre plans to enter another stage of the relief service. Under the guide of Venerable Abbess Manshin, an event of “Light Offerings and Blessings for the Christchurch Earthquake Victims” has been planned. It is to offer “A Prayer’s for The Victims of the Earthquake Christchurch NZ” by Venerable Master Hsing Yun and also light offerings to allow residents and family members to have tranquility, a relieved mind and blessings.
On the same day, 3 students from Japan's Nara Women's University came to the centre to light up candles, have their blessings and the Venerables bestowed the students in also offering them a Buddhist image card and praying beads. The 3 students came into the centre knowing about the light offering from their landlord. Being in the relief centre they felt more comfort and relieved. They have also expressed that they feel calmed and the tranquility of the centre when they set foot in to the centre. Venerable Abbess Manshin has also provided mind consultation for them. There are a number of Japanese students that passed away and are still missing in the cause of the earthquake.
Many locals and other national residents had come throughout the day to pray, for their selves, family members and friends. The BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre has once again brought hope and confidence in the life of the residents.
