BLIA NZ Relief Centre appreciated by Public
On 25th February, BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre continued providing free food services, drinking water, aid, cleaning items, internet service, etc. and served around 300 people. Among them, most are office workers; some still did not have electricity and water supply to do their washing and cooking, some were passerby and did not know where to get food. On the same day of the afternoon, they were 20 Taiwanese flying from Singapore to Christchurch came to visit the BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre. Everyone felt appreciated and touched by the services provided from BLIA NZ members.
English Association member from South Island, Peter has participated in a voluntary job to serve at BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre. He realized that the services provided by BLIA NZ members are positive and optimistic. He also said that he is willing to help out any time when needed. Besides that, a local resident, Mr. Oliver, also offered help in the centre and had agreed that he will come again on the next day.
A leading Digital Hi-Fi Distributor based in North Island of New Zealand, Napier City, and Mr. Jason Lake has contributed 5 pallets of apples, vegetables and drinking water to BLIA NZ Earthquake Relief Centre for the public. A simple and practical way that provided by all Fo Guang Shan members have relieved the public and brought peace to everyone.
