Christchurch Earthquake Report No. 5

Representative Mr Chang from Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Wellington visited Fo Guang Shan Temple on Feb 24. He was accompanied by many local Taiwanese community leaders.

Abbess Manshin explained the services provided by the Fo Guang Relief Service Centre. Mr Chang was impressed by how quickly Buddhists in Christchurch have responded to this disaster. He has been posted in Canada, Africa and India, and has visited many Fo Guang Shan temples around the world.

The Taiwanese community in Christchurch is working with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office to help identify the still missing Taiwanese student from the earthquake.
