NZ Fo Guang Youth ~ Appreciation Night Dinner
On 15 February, Fo Guang Shan (North Island) NZ organised an Appreciation Night Dinner to celebrate the admission of 10 Fo Guang Youths to university and also to provide them an opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude to their parents, Venerables and teachers for their support and guidance in moulding them into what they are today. 33 parents and relatives were formally attired to witness this meaningful event in the youths’ new life chapter. Among them are medical , Business administration, hospitality and social science students.
Abbess Manshin wished the youths all the best in their new life journey, explaining the significance of growing up, its responsibilities and challenges. The parents were thrilled that their children have matured over the years through the temple’s activities, the education in school and society. They expressed their gratitude to the temple for giving the youths a platform to discover and develop their talents. The youths expressed their heartfelt thanks to the temple and their parents for all the guidance and support over the years, enabling them to become better, responsible and confident young adults. The youths crowded around Abbess and listened attentively to her guidance and advice and the memorable night came to an end.
