Fo Guang Shan (NZ) One Million Heart Sutras in the Buddha

The copying of the One Million Heart Sutras in the Buddha, took place on the 1st of January 2011. 140 participants arrived at the Xiang Yun Hall where they were greeted by Venerable Jue Guang and Venerable Man Wang. The Venerables explained some background information about the Sutras in the Buddha before showing a more detailed video. The Venerables also showed the participants how to transfer merits to others by copying the Sutra. Once the Venerables finished explaining, the participants were able to start copying. The Sutra Copying was a great way to start the New Year as they wrote down their wishes for the coming year through calligraphy.
