Philippines Fo Guang Shan Benefactor Visited Temple

On the morning of 19 November, BLIA (North Island) NZ East Two Sub-chapter President Lily and Warrior Group Charlie accompanied Charlie’s sister Sy Tin Tin and brother-in-law David Chua from Philippines to visit Fo Guang Shan (North Island) NZ . They were hosted by Abbess Manshin and BLIA ( North Island ) NZ President Dolly Tsai. Abbess Manshin explained the significance of the temple’s architecture, the symbolism of the landscaping, visiting Master Hsing Yun’s ‘One Stroke Calligraphy’ exhibition and Yao Hong Ying Embroidery exhibition. The Abbess shared the propagation of the Dharma through Arts and Cultures in New Zealand . Sister Sy Tin Tin, who is a benefactor of Philippines Fo Guang Shan, shared her first encounter with Buddhism and her involvements in Fo Guang Shan Philippines, where she was enriched spiritually through the temple’s activities. She was proud and delighted that her brother Charlie and sister-in-law Lily are also supporting the temple’s activities actively in NZ. Sister Sy Tin Tin and brother David Chua were presented with Master Hsing Yun’s books as a memento.
