The Will To Bring Light Seminar by Dharma Lecturer
In order for the people of Fo Guang Shan to gain more wisdom, president of BLIA North Island invited Dharma lecturer Ms. Hsiao from FGS Taiwan to give a seminar titled “The Will To Bring Light”. Speaker Ms. Hsiao is a graduate of Tamkang University and current assistant lecturer, with previous experiences in religion, president of the Chung-Hwa Association and many others. On 27th November she gave her first lecture at FGS South Island with an audience of about 70.
The seminar was held in the grand Buddha Hall and opened with a performance by the BLIA South Island setting the atmosphere. Ms. Hsiao divided her topics into seven areas and used the acronym of the famous musical notes “Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La and Si” to deliver the seminar that was returned with many laughter and applause. Ms. Hsiao also gave her thanks to Grand Master Hsin Yun, Fo Guang Shan and the BLIA for the opportunity to let her become a Dharma lecturer and to speak in FGS South Island. The seminar was closed that day upon the presentation of a floral bouquet by the YAD South Island.
Venerable Abbess Manshin and BLIA North Island President both gave their thanks to speaker Ms. Hsiao for finding time to come to New Zealand and delivering such rich and memorable seminar.
