Dale Gallagher Fine Art Exhibition

01 / 10

At the age of 25, Dale Gallagher presented his first independent fine art exhibition at the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 2 on the 6th November. The opening ceremony included the curator of FGY Art Gallery 2 along with numerous local artists and the family of Gallagher.

Curator Venerable Manshin noted that Gallagher is a very talented artist; although at such a young age, he has already developed very fine observation skills as well as technicality in his drawings with fine brushstrokes and details. With more time, his work will develop even more maturity as well as life of its own. Venerable Manshin also extended her invitation to Gallagher to FGY Art Gallery 1 in Auckland where he can also expand and explore his ability in the world of fine art.

Through self perseverance, Gallagher has self taught without any formal training into a New Zealand landscape acrylic painting artist. He expressed in his opening speech that he wishes to let himself connect with people and extend relationship through his paintings.
The theme to Gallagher’s exhibition follows the most striking landscapes of wild New Zealand through the capturing of the essence of each scene on acrylic. These paintings have already received numerous positive feedbacks and will continue to attract attention in the coming three months.
