BLIA (North Island) NZ - East One Sub-chapter Get together and Re-election

On 7 November, BLIA NZ East One Sub-chapter held its’ get together and re-election of new committee members for the next term. Abbess Manshin, East One sub-chapter guiding reverend Venerable Rulian and 40 BLIA members attended. Jennifer Liang was elected as the new chairperson of East One sub-chapter. 10 others were elected into the committee.
The new sub-chapter chairperson expressed her gratitude and thanked everyone for his/her support. She humorously shared her feelings of ‘fear’ after being elected due to her limited capability and talent. However, she is confident that with the backing of a strong team, they will do well.
Venerable Rulian encouraged the members to overcome all fears and commit themselves wholeheartedly to continue to do well in all activities. She thanked all other sub-chapters for their support in helping to decorate the venue and in the preparation of refreshments to make this event successful.
Abbess Manshin expressed her hope for everyone to live life to the fullest through BLIA’s activities and to generate wisdom and compassion to fulfill the role of a Bodhisattva.
