Patchwork Celebrates 21st Anniversary at Art Gallery

To celebrate Christchurch’s Patchwork Association’s 21st anniversary, activities planner Ms Kerrie O'Connor contacted FGY Art Gallery Christchurch one month in advance to make a booking for a guided tour of the Yao Hong Ying Embroidery Exhibition and lunch at the Water Drop Cafe for her fellow members. On 3rd August, 13 Patchwork members arrived for their guided tour of the exhibition taken by Art Gallery Public Relations Officer Seeshen Lee .

The visitors had all been to the previous Yao Hong Ying Exhibition in 2009, and were left deeply impressed with Ms Yao’s works. This time round, they were all the more amazed. The members believed that coming to the Embroidery Exhibition was a meaningful way of celebrating their 21st Anniversary, as it was an uplifting experience and a source of inspiration for their own needle works.
