BLIA (North Island ) NZ English Sub-Chapter Get-Together

On 28 October, BLIA (North Island) NZ English sub-chapter held its’ quarterly get-together, simultaneously celebrating Lesley’s re-appointment as the English sub-chapter President. The president took this opportunity to thank everyone for his/her effort in making the Cherry Blossom Festival Open Day a success. They also celebrated Rebecca’s new identity ~ An Official Buddhist who has taken the three refuges on 21 October. Venerable Miao Yu and ten members attended the celebration.

Although it has been a week since Rebecca has taken refuge in the Triple Gem, she is still shimmering with joy and happiness. It was unspoken happiness and is an indescribable experience. It was definitely good karma for being able to take the three refuges witnessed by 4 Venerables.

The members congratulated her and shared their bitter sweet moments journeying through Humanistic Buddhism. They encouraged each other not to fear the journey ahead once you have found your way home.
