Fo Guang Shan (North Island) NZ -Fo Guang Youths’ Strong Belief in Buddhism

On 20 October, new entrepreneurs Fo Guang Youths Patrick and Vigee visited the temple and were hosted by Abbess Manshin. They expressed their gratitude for the blessing ceremony of their new gift shop presided by the Venerables. Many friends of Patrick were non-Buddhists and witnessed a Buddhist Blessing Ceremony for the first time . They were impressed by the simple yet solemn ceremony, and had gained insight into the significance of the ceremony as explained by Abbess Manshin. The proverb: the early bird catches the worm inspired them to journey through life with enthusiasm.
Patrick and Vigee reiterated that faith in Buddhism provided them immense energy to progress, and the Noble Eightfold Path will serve as a guideline in their daily activities. Thereafter, Abbess Manshin helped to clear their doubts regarding some Buddhist questions and hoped they would continue to work hard in their path to Buddhahood.
