Fo Guang Shan (North Island) NZ Baby Blessing Ceremony

On 17 October, proud parents brought their babies to the temple early in the morning to take part in the baby blessing ceremony and the corridor of the Main Shrine was packed with prams. Abbess Manshin presided over the blessing ceremony after the Sunday morning Dharma service. 51 babies were blessed with prayers, holy water and were given prayer beads. In the crowd were pregnant women and people from different ethnicity. We wish all babies good health and happiness as they grow up.
