BLIA NZ (North Island) English Sub-chapter Cherry Blossom Festival Open Day Meeting
The 4th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival is fast approaching and everyone is looking forward to it.
On 16 October, from 11am-2pm , the temple will be offering a number of activities to the general public as a special thank you for their support of Humanistic Buddhism within the local community. The English speaking members will be sharing their experiences and answer any questions that the public might have always wanted to ask.
The activities that will be offered include temple tours ( a guided tour and commentary of the architecture and significance of Buddhist symbols, the concept of Humanistic Buddhism and the exploration of Buddhist art and culture in the art gallery). The visitors will also have a chance to experience tai-chi, walking/motive meditation and light offering.
On 2 October, English Sub-chapter President Lesley and 6 members held a meeting to discussed job allocation, programme itinerary , brochures and flyers distribution etc. An alternative plan for a rainy day was also discussed.
