In 2006, Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery established its’ first gallery in New Zealand . The Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery , Auckland is situated at Fo Guang Shan ( North Island).It is one of the twenty-one art galleries around the world. Since then, various art and masterpieces have been exhibited in this Gallery. The objective of this gallery is to provide an opportunity and access for the people of New Zealand into the world of art, culture and religion. Since its establishment, the exhibitions held had received rave reviews and impressive feedbacks.

We had Yao Hong Ying’s Embroidery Exhibition, Shanshan Shiao’s World Tour of Pressed Flowers Exhibition and Yin Ling Tang’s Painting Exhibition. Presently, we are exhibiting Liao Tian Zhao’s stone carved teapots and our very own Way of Life Photography and Master Hsing Yun’s One Stroke calligraphy exhibitions. The art gallery is constantly rated highly by visitors for the ambience, display and decor. A volunteer is on duty daily to provide a provide a guided tour of the exhibitions, to explain the significance , connotations and the Dharma message the art is conveying. We strive to achieve Master Hsing Yun’s objective of propagating Buddhism through art and culture and hope that all visitors are able to gain some knowledge and inspirations from these exhibitions. Visitor numbers are as high as six thousand per month.

The VIPs who have visited the art gallery included:Korean National Police Agency Superintendent General, Senior Adviser to the President Po-Ya Chang, Taipai Economic and Cultural Office in New Zealand representative Charles Tsai, Assistant Commissioner Jon White etc. Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery, Auckland changes the theme of the exhibition periodically and aims to provide a wide variety and multicultural exhibitions to the public.

After many years of perseverance and effort ,it has become one of the favourite spots for the local to visit .
