Fo Guang Shan (North Island )Bodhi Study Group

On 16 Sept, 10 members of the Bodhi Study Group commenced their lesson by singing songs from Sounds of the Human World. This is the normal weekly practice of the group. It is their expression of joy and confidence in learning the dharma.

Under the guidance of Mrs. Lai, the class discussed the article “ Discover Our Inner Self” which is an excerpt from the book “ Between Ignorance and Enlightenment” written by Master Hsing Yun. Most of the members, because of their advance age find they are unable to contribute to the society . However, after reading the article, they find sunshine in their lives again by discovering their inner potential.

“ We are all Buddhas” and we must learn to discover and realise our true nature which is the Buddha nature , said Master Hsing Yun. By doing so, we are indeed the wealthiest in the world.

After the discussion, the group rejuvenated their bodies and minds by doing bio-energy qigong under the guidance of BLIA Advisor Mr. Lai.
