Cashmere Probus Visits Gallery Despite Torrential Rain
Christchurch Probus club of Cashmere visited Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Christchurch on 26th May. Visit organiser Ms Margaret Draper was among the 13 Probus members who came to see Yao Hong Ying’s Embroidery Exhibition, and for the majority of them, this was their second visit to see their favourite artist’s works.
Art Gallery Public Relations Officer Seeshen Lee guided the visitors around the Gallery and pointed out the intricate details about the techniques used in the creation of the works and briefed them with the various works’ cultural background.
The group enjoyed afternoon tea in the Water Drop Cafe. They were glad they had made the trip that day despite having been hesitant about it because of the 4 day’s worth of torrential rain that had been a real obstacle for them. The wonderful embroidery artworks had given them so much joy which they would also like to share with their family and friends.
