Ksitigarbha Dharma Function

In order to promote filial piety and to emulate the model of Maudgalyayana who released his mother’s suffering from hell through the various offerings to the Sangha Community, Fo Guang Shan Temple held the Ksitigarbha Dharma Function on 1 August which was presided over by Abbess Manshin and was attended by 150 devotees. Besides dedicating the Merits to the contributors, families and the deceased ancestors through the service, we should also take this opportunity to reflect upon our body, speech and mind.

Abbess Manshin explained the significance and meaning of the Sutra of The Great Vows of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, she encouraged everyone to eradicated one’s blind spot, worries and ignorance ; once our spiritual path is enriched, we will be fearless of hard work and is able to contribute and develop our inner self just like Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
