Former Minister Sir Kerry Burke Visit IBA

On April 8, Mr. Ron Wright, the BLIA South Island Advisor, invited the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sir Kerry Burke, to visit the South Island FGS, welcomed by Venerable Juexi and BLIA director Louisa Kuo. Sir Kerry Burke was born in Christchurch, was the Minister of Immigration, and is the second youngest person ever in New Zealand to become the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Venerable Juexi explained the architectural characteristics of the Temple, as well as the ideas behind them, founder of FGS, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, events hosted by FGS, as well as the events to be held, and the exhibitions in the Gallery. Sir Burke was also invited to attend Buddha’s Birthday.
