BLIA’s Buddha’s Birthday Offering Rehearsal

In order to maintain the solemn of Buddha’s Birthday ceremony, on 6th April 7pm, Fo Guang Shan south island New Zealand have organised offering ceremony rehearsal. Temple supervisor Venerable Juexi, Venerable Miao Yu, Buddha’s birthday Programme leader Mei-Hwa, Chen, Vice Programme leader Louisa Kuo, offering group leader Heidi Lee and nearly 60 offering member were participate in this rehearsal ceremony. This year, 8 different offering groups with 10 people each group were line up with gentlemen, woman, youth, children, etc. They will wear different country costume and holding sort of offering objects to Buddha.

Venerable Juexi given a short notice for the offering member state the offering in the Buddha’s birthday is an opportunity and honour for the entire offering member. They should have a pious mind to make a descent offering when participate in this activity. Venerable have explained the offering procedure, offering gesture and bell instruction. All the participant wee focus and hope they will perform a great offering moment on the Buddha’s birthday. After 4 or 5 rehearsals, everyone were confident and ready. Venerable appreciate all the offering members can come for this rehearsal. At the end of this rehearsal, offering member move forward to dining hall to take the offering outift.
